Comments: Well, another Downunder Vindi Reunion "done and dusted" As always, a very good time was had by all. Rodger and the crew did a splendid job.
The only disappointing feature of this reunion was the fact that Alan and his kid 'bruver' Terry Creasey were not in attendance.
Now looking forward to Fremantle next year. John

Comments: The President, Secretary, Organising Committee and Helping Volunteers Queensland Vindicatrix Association - Vindi Downunder Reunion 2009 @ Caloundra.
'Tis with a lump in my in my throat that I am compelled to sit down and type this message to you, with the sole reason being with the dislocation and indisposition of my present existing circumstance preventing me from taking any further active part in Vindi matters which unfortunately includes my non attendance at this or future Vindi reunions.
I therefore would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all those Vindi Boys and Lasses involved with the organising and detailed arrangements that culminated in yet another very successful Downunder Reunion at Caloundra that has been enjoyed by all attending this reunion.
However upon reflection, I am now realising that my affected despondency is unwarranted as I have I have been blessed and favoured to have been able to attend Vindi Downunder reunions at Christchurch (NZ) 2008, Fremantle (WA) 2007, Maroochydore (QLD) 2006, Tanunda (SA) 2005, Napier (NZ) 2004, Tweed Heads (QLD/NSW) 2003 and Nambucca (NSW) 2002 all of which have been most admirably supported by the most gentlemanly Vindi folk from all areas of this vast island continent Australia, the UK inaddition to the vibrant support from our Pacific Cousins the Kiwis, which has in my opinion contributed to the sound cementing of the Vindi fraternity in the antipodes which can not be surpassed.
Here I would like to mention at the conclusion of the first Downunder Vindi Reunion that I was most fortunate to be able to attend at Nambucca, it was stated by the then President of Queensland Vindicatrix Association Brian Hunt B.E.M., and Rob Lynde Committee/Organiser that the Nambucca Vindi Reunion was so successful that while it could not be bettered - it could be equalled.
Well having attended the following six successive Downunder Vindi reunions I can only concur with the previously stated comments by Brian Hunt and Rob Lynde whereby the successive reunions did not surpass the Nambucca reunion but however, each successive Dounder Vindi Reunion had performed and equalled the Nambucca reunion for attendance, organised skill and functions for which the respective Organising Committees must take a bow, thus in accordance with thw MASLON Theory, all Vindi brains, talents and skills are not concentrated in one particular area such as TSVA HQ UK.
May God Bless you all with continued smooth sailing.
With fond memorable memories, Alan. T. Creasey Vindi D 1950

Comments: Today, 01/11/09, we lost another good Vindi boy pal and fellow East Kent member, Dennis Oakley (V51) from Grays in Essex. Sadly Dennis suffered greatly with his cancer over the past few months but is now out of pain. You had an enormous number of pals Dennis and your sense of humour will be greatly missed by us all. It's a sad day for us all. R.I.P. Phil Hughes, Secretary of The Independent Vindicatrix of East Kent.
