Just received the sad news from the U.K that Jack Ormisher has crossed the bar. I had the pleasure of meeting Jack and his wife on several occasions at Qld Branch Functions.

G'day Phil,
it was great to see you again, not having seen you since 2005 at the Sharpness reunion. After attending reunions here in Australia, those at Sharpness (if that one was how they are usually run) are a joke! We do it right out here, especially in Queensland and WA. It's a shame you couldn't have prolonged your stay until November!! Anyway Phil, all I can do is to agree with the previous postings from the lads you met here in Sydney - a genuine crowd of Vindi lads. I hope to catch up with you again sometime.

I am adding this on behlf on my Dad, anyone who knew him can contact him through me. He often talks about his time of the 'Vindi' with great affection and enthusiasm. I am trying to get him to go to the next reunion as he would love to meet up with his old pals. Keep up the good work.

The pleasure was all ours Phil, smiles and laughter all round, the true "Vindi " spirit. It more than made up for us not being able to meet up in the UK in 2005.
