Good to see the Vindi back on the Net. Congratulations to all who have put in a lot of their time to produce a first class introduction of many of our memories (both good and some not so good) and I for one, am glad I did not miss this part of my life. Ken.

After leaving Vindi I sailed out of Liverpool on various ships until emigrating to N.Z in 1962. Spent two years on the N.Z Coastal shipping. Moved to the Gold Coast, Aust. in 1988. Now retired and a proud member of the Qld branch of the Vindicatrix Association.

How we suffered on the Vindy during the 40's. In later years it was a featherbed for trainees. -with huts etc. Best wishes to all ex-vindy boys who suffered on this miserable old, worn out vessel. What it could have done for today's generation of young men-especially the vandals !! Denis Burdon

After four weeks I was transferred to Gravesend Sea Training School and from there I went to sea, my first trip was to Mermansk, Russia. I travelled to many places thereafter, all around the World, including whaling down the Antarctic. I am very pleased that I found the Vindiboys in Brisbane and enjoy all our outings, meetings and get togethers very much.
