| Christmas
Dinner -
This year our Christmas Dinner, being organised by our Social Co-ordinator
Princess Pauline, will be held on Thursday 11th December at Geebung/Zillmere
RSL corner of Newman and Collins Road, Geebung. The Christmas party begins at 11am to 2.30pm. We have hired an entertainer, Joe Disco to provide us with some entertainment. The cost of the Dinner is $15.00 per head. All welcome. There will also be Raffle Draws. If you are planning to be present at this function, please pay at our next Meeting to our Treasurer, Robert Buxton. If you are unable to pay at this Meeting or can't decide as yet, then please send your cheque or Money Order to Vindicatrix Association, post it to Robert Buxton, 46 Arnold Street, Wulkuraka, Qld 4305 and inform him that the payment is for "Christmas Dinner". Please do this no later than 28th November 2008. We do need to confirm numbers for catering purposes with the RSL |

Day at last recognised in Australia……….. The Federal Labor Government of Australia has legislated and proclaimed the 3rd September as Merchant Navy Day to be remembered each year, and it has now been promulgated by our Governor General Sir Michael Jeffery on the 4th July 2008. Many thanks to Steve Wylie who has put in much hard work and leader of the project to gain recognition over the last 10 years and would add now 87 years. We salute you Sir. |
